Brothers & sisters…., Kenikir (Cosmos caudatus Kunth) is well known in Indonesia, especially in Java Island. People in Java consume the leaves as one of favorite dish. To cook the leaves is very simple, just boil it for a few minutes and it is ready to be served. Normally people eat it with “sambal terasi” or “sambal pecel” (hot peanut sauce). It is one of my favorite, “pecel kenikir”..!!
Kenikir has small flowers, yet they look really pretty. Check out this which I photograph couple of weeks ago.
