Learning to take portrait photos

Brothers & sisters…., this morning I tried to take pictures of my wife as my photo model near by the beach at our hotel yard. I found difficulties in getting enough light to brighten the face because the morning Sun light came from behind. So I used the flash light, but it turned out too bright. Then I used the hotel door key card to cover the flash light so it wouldn’t go directly to my photo model. I love the results.

This time I used my Canon 600D with Canon 55mm lens, f/1.4, ISO 100, suther speed 1/200 sec.
